Mother's Day Gift Guide
Growing up I was blessed to have two mother figures in my life, my mom and my step-mom. They both love me as their own daughter and did everything they could to raise me the right way and provide for me. On top of two amazing mothers I also had a slew of grand-mothers, aunts, great-grandmothers, and female figures in my life.
I know I will never be able to thank them for all they have done for me. You might feel the same way too? But sometimes all they need is something small as a reminder of how thankful you are for them.
I have gathered a list of three of my favorite small businesses run by powerful females!
Inglenook Candle Company
If you have been to my home or visited me at a shop, more than likely you have smelled an Inglenook Candle. My hands-down, all time favorite candle is their Sweet Tea scent. It is the perfect mix of sweet tea and lemon. It gives you that down home cozy feeling with a hint of clean.
Amy and her family hand pour all of the candles and create all of the soaps and other products by hand on their family land!
Along with candles you can also find a variety of soaps, scrubs, lip balms, and bath bombs in a huge variety of scents in her shop! These could be put together in a basket to treat the special lady in your life with an at home spa day.
Worthy & Badass
Justine is killing the jewelry game down in Charlotte! I am fairly new to her business and story but I am already in love. My first necklace got delivered today. It has three charms and they are hand stamped with short acronyms that are so personal to me.
Worthy & Badass jewelry has great quality, at a very reasonable price, and the turnaround time makes the whole thing better! You could get a necklace or bracelet stamped with the initials of you and your siblings or kids to give your mom or grandmother.
If your mom, aunt, or grandmother has a green thumb then this hands down is your place to go! Right between Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro is the cutest market and garden center. They have every plant you can imagine along with a market where you can buy all kinds of gifts and trinkets.
We don’t have a lot of green thumbs in our family, mainly because we are really bad at making sure we water the plants. My mom is better than I am but we still have room to grow. Anyways, the point of that is to say, I have finally found a plant that I can keep alive thanks to Midtown Market! Actually, there are two; the zz plant and a birds nest fern!
You can find Midtown Market on Instagram @midtownmarket_ (don’t forget the _) or shop with them at 339 Wilkesboro Ave, North Wilkesboro, NC, 29659
